Terms of service

The rules of the road.

These terms cover what Miroir promises, what you agree to, and what happens when something goes wrong. Australian law governs.

Last updated: 24 May 2026

1. The agreement

By creating an account or making a booking on miroir.au you agree to these terms. They form a contract between you and Miroir (Brisbane, QLD). The operating legal entity will be confirmed before live payments commence.

2. What Miroir is

Miroir is a marketplace. We connect customers with independent beauty artists. We don’t perform the beauty service ourselves. The contract for the service itself is between you and the artist; Miroir facilitates booking and payment, and steps in when something goes wrong.

3. Bookings & payment

4. Cancellations & refunds

5. Conduct

Treat artists with respect — they are coming into your home. Provide a safe, sober environment. Misconduct (harassment, discrimination, dangerous behaviour) terminates the booking with no refund, and can result in account termination.

Artists agree to arrive on time, with the kit listed in their profile, and to provide the service to the standard of a competent professional.

6. Artists: payouts & tax

Artists are independent contractors, not Miroir employees. Payouts run through Stripe Connect (typically T+2 business days). Artists are responsible for their own tax, insurance, and any required licences.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Miroir is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Termination

We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or poses a safety risk. You can delete your account anytime from your settings — outstanding bookings still need to be resolved.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If the change is material, we’ll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect.

10. Disputes

We’re a small team — please email us first. Disputes we can’t resolve are governed by the laws of New South Wales and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the QLD courts.
